The Science of High-Performance VIP and RTM

Eliminating air voids and achieving a target V_f of 60-65% for structural hulls and automotive components requiring non-negotiable ILSS and mechanical persistence.

Optimized Laminate Compaction through Closed-Mould Technology

Performance optimization in modern composites is driven by the transition from manual lay-up to advanced closed-mould technologies. This shift is the primary variable in achieving weight reduction and mechanical consistency across high-volume series.

Vacuum Infusion (VIP) & VAIL

Vacuum Infusion is our flagship process for high-performance, weight-critical components. By infusing resin into dry fibers under a hermetic vacuum, we achieve significantly reduced void content and optimized laminate compaction. This method allows for a higher V_f (up to 60-65%) compared to traditional methods, resulting in parts that are lighter yet structurally superior. It is the standard-setting process for structural yacht hulls and large-scale industrial components where interlaminar shear strength (ILSS) is a non-negotiable requirement.

RTM & Light RTM (Resin Transfer Molding)

For components requiring a "Class-A" finish on both interior and exterior surfaces, we utilize RTM. This precision resin injection into matched tooling ensures constant wall thickness throughout the entire series. RTM is the optimized choice for automotive body parts and ergonomic cabins where aesthetic perfection must meet structural rigidity.

Hand Lay-up & Prototyping

While closed-moulding is the serial standard, Hand Lay-up remains our gold standard for rapid prototyping and complex, non-linear geometries. This process allows for manual layering precision in the development of "proof-of-concept" parts or smaller production runs where geometric complexity restricts the use of matched tooling.
